Coming from the home base of several luxury automakers, the German automotive press is certainly no stranger to premium vehicles. So it was quite the accomplishment for Genesis when the manufacturer captured the title of "German Premium Car of the Year" for the GV60, its first all-electric model. The recognition was the latest in a string of victories for the GV60, a vehicle still in the early stages of its initial launch cycle. Other recent prestigious accolades for the GV60 include Red Dot and iF Design awards.
The German Car of the Year awards are chosen by a jury of 30 members who test-drive each eligible model to determine an overall winner in five segment categories. The GV60 prevailed in the "Premium" category, a highly competitive class comprising new cars with starting MSRPs between 30,000 and 60,000 euros.

Genesis GV60 Highlights
The Genesis GV60 comes standard with dual axle-mounter electric motors combining to produce an all-wheel-driving 314 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. A 77.4-kWh battery pack provides 248 miles of range, approximately equivalent to 95 mpg. The GV60's electric range is made even more practical by its quick charging speeds—it's one of the few currently available models to leverage 350kW charging compatibility. This "ultra-fast" charging makes long-distance EV journeys more accessible, as it can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes, adding ~60 miles of range in only 5 minutes.
A premium EV deserves premium, future-focused technology, and the GV60 doesn't disappoint. It comes standard with dual 12.3-inch screens (gauge cluster and infotainment touchscreen), creating a stunning panoramic display.
