Towards the end of last month, the Genesis GV60 electric SUV was named the top small premium SUV in J.D. Power's 2023 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study (APEAL). The annual study aims to gain insight into a vehicle or brand's overall appeal by aggregating owners' assessments of their vehicle's design, intuitiveness, comfort, performance, safety, quality, and other factors. The survey polls new vehicle owners after 90 days of ownership, asking them to rate their experience with more than 40 vehicle attributes across ten categories, including:
- Approaching the vehicle
- Setting up and starting
- Getting in and out of the vehicle
- Interior design/comfort
- Powertrain
- Driving engagement
- Driving comfort
- Safety
- Technology
- Fuel efficiency
