Genesis continues to expand its lineup of premium electrified vehicles with two new SUV models arriving later next year. These models will be based on the popular GV70 and will be hybrid and extended-range electric (EREV) versions. First Genesis Hybrid
Genesis will launch its first hybrid in 2026. This model will be the brand's first hybrid SUV. It will likely pair a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and battery pack. Expect the hybrid powertrain to deliver strong performance along with improved fuel efficiency compared to the gas-only GV70.
The GV70 Hybrid will provide a great option for drivers who want the benefits of electric power combined with the convenience of a gas engine. With the ability to run on either electricity or gas, you'll have flexibility for any driving situation.
Extended-Range EV
For anyone seeking to maximize their electric driving, the upcoming Extended-Range EV (EREV) is on the way. An EREV powertrain uses a larger battery pack that allows for an extended all-electric driving range before the gas engine kicks in. This new model will likely provide an electric driving range of over 300 miles or more, making it possible to handle most daily driving on electricity alone.
Signature Genesis Luxury and Technology
Both of these new hybrid and EV models will come equipped with the brand's signature refinements. Expect a well-crafted interior with premium materials, advanced digital displays, and ample space for passengers and cargo.
